The biggest challenge ever for Kenneth Hansen

Hansen Motorsport, with Kenneth Hansen himself leading it, is facing one of its biggest challenges ever. With only a week to go before the opening round of the European Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill in England it is soon time to show some proof. Seven drivers are under the wings of the Hansen Motorsport team, who is ready to take on the work helping these young guns get the best result possible.

- It was considerably easier and calmer when I raced myself, Kenneth laughs and thinks for a moment about he has committed to.
– But to be able to work with youngsters like these is really encouraging and stimulating. They have exactly the kind of energy and passion I remember I also had during my first years of competition.

The number one driver of the Hansen team in the SuperCars, Timur Timerzyanov (24 years), was third on the ERC last year and with the reputation of being one of the most intelligent drivers on the start grid he has great possibilities to take the gold this year in his Citroen DS3.
The newly recruited talent
Alexander Hvaal (19 years) from Norway is probably going to surprise a few with fine performances from the start with his Citroen C4 in the SuperCars. Johan Larsson (25 years) begins his SuperCar career rather smoothly staring with a few races in a Citroen C4 this season. Erik Färén (22 years), who comes from the world of racing, will race in the S1600 in a Citroen C2 and with high ambitions he takes on the hard competition.

Hansen Motorsport is characterized by having only young persons in the driver line up and the youngest ones are in the new category JRX (Junior RallyX). JRX will act as a support class for the European Championship, beginning at the Norwegian round end of June.

Kevin Hansen
(14 years), son of Kenneth and Susann Hansen, has finally come home to his favorite sport, rallycross, after spending his first years of his career in karting. Kevin will together with his team mate and also a debutant in rallycross, the Norwegian girl Ada Marie Hvaal (14 years) and the other JRX-youngsters, for example Magda Andersson (14 years), give new strong blood to the regrowth of rallycross. There is a huge interest from all over the world for the JRX series and will be followed closely by many people.

Timmy Hansen (19 years), the oldest son in the Hansen family, will also drive under the Hansen Motorsport flag, not in rallycross but in formula racing in the Formula Renault 2,0 Eurocup.

- Our team has grown tremendously since I backed off from the race tracks a couple of years ago, Kenneth says and ends by pointing out. – It is with pride I will try to manage the trust and confidence these young boys and girls put in my. And, you know, shouldn’t this work out we can always start a football team. We soon sure are many enough.
