Timur Timerzyanov wins for Hansen Motorsport in Hungary

The euphoric success for Hansen Motorsport at last weekends double victory in Austria continued with another win for Timur Timerzyanov (RUS) in his Citroen DS3, now leading the European Rallycross Championship. After a convincing qualification Timur went on to take a great victory by leading from start to finish in the A-final.

- As the beginning of the season was not so good I am more than happy to be leading the Championship already at this stage, Timur says and gives his team manager Kenneth Hansen a hug.

The youngest driver in the team Alexander Hvaal (N) still impressed but this weekend he did not make it all the way to the podium as he finished on fourth place. Alexander started on fifth place, just behind Timur on pole position. The A-final turned out to be a close fight on the last lap between the top duo as Timur and Tanner Foust (USA) faught side by side when Timur came out of the jokerlap. Alexander had a rougher journey through the A-final and had to work hard for his fourth place.

In the Super 1600-class Eric Färén did a strong performance in his Citroen C2 managing to take two third places in the qualification and rounded the weekend up with a well deserved fourth place in the A-final. His best result so far in his young career.

- Of course it feels great to have found a flow with Timur and Alexander in SuperCars, delivering top results three weekends in a row, team boss Kenneth Hansen says happily.
But for this race I am especially glad for Eric and his good result, which I think can boost his self-confidence for the rest od the season.

Now there are three weeks off befor the next race in Hell outside Trondheim in Norway on June 23-24.
