our story
Hansen Motorsport was founded in 1990 by rallycross legends Kenneth and Susann Hansen - a partnership that combined Kenneth’s unmatched success on track with Susann’s pioneering role as the only woman to win a European rallycross title. Together, they have built one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport. Kenneth went on to claim 14 European Rallycross Championship titles, while Susann transitioned from driver to team manager, shaping the organisation’s professional, family-driven culture.
Under their leadership, Hansen Motorsport has grown into a global force, earning multiple World Rallycross Championship titles, European Rallycross titles, X Games gold medals, and becoming the first rallycross team to secure the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation. Their vision established the team as an innovator both in competition and in sustainable motorsport practices.
The next generation — Timmy and Kevin Hansen — have carried that legacy into the modern era of World RX. Timmy claimed the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Drivers’ Championship, while Kevin became one of the youngest and most successful rising stars in the sport. Together, they have delivered multiple Teams’ Championships and have led the Hansen name into the electric and future-focused phases of rallycross.

In 2025, Hansen Motorsport participated in Extreme E’s Final Lap and the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup, as the family-run outfit entered a new chapter in its motorsport journey. Despite being on debut, Team Hansen took two podiums from two race in Extreme E - including a win in the last-ever X Prix - and Kevin went on to take his first FIA world title by winning the Extreme H World Cup with team-mate and close friend of the family Molly Taylor.
As a proud member of the UNFCCC Sports for Climate Action initiative and Hydrogen Sweden, joining the first international motorsport powered entirely by hydrogen represents a natural evolution for Hansen Motorsport.
The Swedish team became the first in rallycross to reach carbon neutral status in 2022 and continues to hold FIA 3-star Environmental Accreditation and ISO 14001 certification. The move to Extreme H further reflects a philosophy of pushing boundaries while committing to a more sustainable future.
