The 2023 FIA World Rallycross (World RX) Championship calendar has been brought forward by two weeks, ensuring Hansen Motorsport’s first rallycross action will take place at the start of June.   As a result of the schedule changes to the calendar, Timmy and Kevin Hansen’s rallycross campaigns will begin with testing in Portugal ahead of the European season-opener at Montalegre. The World Championship gets underway two weeks ahead of its original date, as Hansen World RX Team heads to World RX of Portugal for testing at the end of May before kick-starting the 10 Round calendar on 3-4 June. The Circuito Internactional de Montalegre staged the very first World RX event back in 2014, and will also raise the curtain on the series’ tenth campaign in the same year that the track celebrates its quarter-century. The championship will mark its 100^th round in Hell, Norway a fortnight later (17-18 June), with the ‘Magic Weekend’ at Höljes in Sweden (1-2 July), Lydden Hill in the UK (22-23 July) and Mettet in Belgium (5-6 August) all similarly unchanged. The final European event of the campaign at Germany’s Estering has moved forward by three weeks to 19-20 August, followed by the end-of-season long-haul jaunts to Cape Town in South Africa and a soon-to-be-announced venue in Asia, both two weeks earlier than initially projected on 7-8 October and 11-12 November, respectively.
