Reigning FIA World Rallycross Championship-winning team Hansen Motorsport is excited to announce an exhilarating new partnership with UK firm The Berry as both parties collaborate on an innovative future. The Hansen team claimed its third World RX team’s title in 2021, to add to over 20 international drivers’ titles from it’s over 30-year history. For 2022 Hansen Motorsport has made its biggest ever investment in its rallycross programmes, committing to a multi-year programme in the discipline’s new all-electric era. Former World RX Drivers’ Champion Timmy Hansen and World RX race-winner Kevin Hansen will drive for the team. Not only has the Hansen outfit been at the forefront of rallycross on track for over three decades, but off track too. Last year, the team joined the United Nations Sports For Climate Action Framework and then became the first in rallycross to achieve an FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation.

RYAN BURNHAM, Managing Director and Co-founder, The BERRY:

“The Berry is an action-packed, creative production company with VFX and 3D Animation at our heart and we will now explore the future of modern rallycross creations. With Hansen Motorsport and World RX transitioning to fully-electric vehicles (the new RX1-E looks incredible, by the way), we have an excellent opportunity to push the boundaries of content and visuals within rallycross and general motor sport-loving communities. Expect brand new audiences and future thinking content.”

LUKE ROBSON, Creative Director and Co-founder, The BERRY:

Pushing the potential of creative content and building a brand new, fresh audience to reflect and engage with the huge, exciting electric racing changes within rallycross is a huge motivator for us at The Berry. Delivering high-spec, action packed content for on and off season will run parallel with the success (past and present) of the Hansen Motorsport team. We’re super excited to see what the Hansen’s can achieve in the coming years through electric racing and hopefully our Berry logo will help them to go even faster!”

KEVIN HANSEN, Hansen Motorsport:

“We had a really inspiring conversation with The Berry when we first met, with a shared ambition to properly announce our electric commitment in a cool way. Our actual race cars are not ready yet, so The Berry came up with the idea of making a virtual world and racing a version of the car in that space. It blew our minds when we first saw the video and I think it was the same for all of the Hansen fans out there as well. This partnership came very naturally, and going forward we have some exciting content lined up. You will know when The Berry has worked their magic on our channels! To be working in such a modern way of graphics and animation is really cool. It’s never been seen before in rallycross, and what The Berry are able to create is very nice and authentic, even if it is animation. I think the most exciting thing is that there isn’t a limit on what we are able to do together. We have a lot of plans for the season, but The Berry’s ability to create new content off-site is really positive for us too, as we won’t have any logistical environmental impacts. We will help and advice The Berry on how to improve their environmental impact as much as possible with our experience too, something we are actively working on with all of our partners.”
